PTI: People won't be deceived by PPP and PML-N's political theatrics

In a strongly-worded response to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari's recent press conference, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has labeled both the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) as "two sides of the same coin."

Following the contentious February 8 general election, candidates endorsed by Imran Khan's PTI emerged as the largest contingent, securing 92 seats in the National Assembly. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) followed closely with 79 and 54 seats, respectively, while the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) secured the fourth position with 17 seats in the lower house of parliament.

In the aftermath of the election, top parties expedited efforts to garner coalition partners to amass sufficient numbers to form the next government at the federal and provincial levels.

Bilawal announced his party's support for the PML-N candidate for the prime ministerial position, clarifying that his party would not participate in the upcoming federal government nor accept any federal ministries.

The PTI, however, dismissed this alliance and accused former partners in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) of orchestrating a new scheme to mislead the nation after the nationwide polls on February 8.

"The son of Asif Ali Zardari should have acknowledged PTI's mandate and condemned the manipulation of votes instead of forming an alliance with the 'pirates of Jati Umra'," stated an official release by the former ruling party.

The PTI further claimed that both the PPP and PML-N had already divided top portfolios and were now pretending to be adversaries ahead of the formation of the new government. "The nation will not be deceived by their performance again," the statement asserted.

The party also held both the Nawaz and Bilawal-led parties equally responsible for inflation and the nation's deteriorating economy. The PTI vowed to thwart all "conspiracies" by the PPP and the PML-N, safeguarding the nation from their actions, as stated by its spokesperson.
